New Paragraph

“Partners” Rather Than “Members”

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you … because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.   (Philippians 1:3-6)

Why “Partners”?

Partners are people invested in a relationship. At McKinney Global Methodist, joining the church means being in a relationship with Jesus Christ first and foremost, being in a relationship with others in the worshiping community, and being a partner in the Gospel of Jesus Christ into our homes, neighborhoods, and the world (Acts 1:8).

How to become a Partner

McKinney Global Methodist has regular (usually quarterly) "Partnership Sundays" where we welcome new folks into our church! If interested in joining or have questions, email Pastor Doug Fox at pastordoug@McKinneyGlobalMethodist.org. The questions we use for partnership (membership) are shown below.

Baptism

Being baptized in a Christian community is a requirement for becoming a partner. We recognize God’s work in your Christian baptism whether as an infant, through a confirmation class, or as an adult.  If you have not been baptized, Pastor Doug would be honored to speak with you about the importance and meaning of baptism.

Joining McKinney Global Methodist as a Partner (Member)

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you,

I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

- Philippians 1:3-5
